This 2 CD set features the very best of the African American Blues singer, guitarist and songwriter known as Tampa Red, was born Hudson Woodbridge on the 8th January 1903, in Smithville, Georgia, USA, although he used the name Hudson Whittaker.He is known as an influential and pioneer slide blues guitarist, with his single string slide style or bottleneck technique, plus his prolific song writing abilities, he eventually became one of the Chicago Blues musicians, whom he influenced such as Big Bill Broonzy, Muddy Waters, Robert Nighthawk, Elmore James, Mose Allison and many others. Some of his best\-known songs are Anna Lou Blues, Black Angel Blues, Crying Wont Help You, It Hurts Me Too and Love Her With A Feeling.
