Keyboard player extraordinaire Rick Wakeman was born 18th May 1949 in London, England. After joining The Strawbs and Yes for some very successful tours and albums in the 1970s, Rick embarked on a highly successful solo career of conceptual Classic Rock albums, such as The Six Wives Of Henry VIII and Journey To The Centre Of The Earth , which brought him to super stardom. The album The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table in 1975 was also a huge success inducing some great live spectaculars, notably one at Wembley s Empire Pool On Ice, using a full orchestra and 50 strong choir. This album is a stunning collection of some of Rick s great works of the 1970s.
